As a naturopath and homeopath, my goal is to help you achieve health wellness through natural medicine protocols.
My goal is to help you discover the root causes of any health imbalance you may be experiencing and to help you address and resolve the cause as effectively as possible using naturopathic (natural) and functional medicine, homeopathy (a specific branch of natural medicine), and other proven techniques that address the mental emotional stressors that can lead to illness.
The first step is to determine the most limiting factor or the biggest factor causing the imbalance, based on clinical history and intake, clinical findings, laboratory testing (which may include blood chemistry panels, saliva, urine, stool samples or radiographic imaging), and in-house testing such as BodyTalk, and meridian testing. The lab tests could be what you bring in from previous records, and/or tests we order before or after the initial assessment.
Based on our initial intake and functional assessment of labs, we then determine what types of procedures and treatments would be the best fit for your situation. We base the assessment on what the current medical as well as naturopathic scientific literature is saying about the options, on the knowledge, experience and expertise that I have gained through the years of practice, as well as based on what your wants, needs, and objectives are.
Through modalities that I use in the office, it is possible to determine the biggest priorities that need to be addressed and in what order. Knowing the order to address the problems helps give us most efficient way to proceed or “the biggest bang for the buck.” The ultimate outcome is always improved health status or resolution of your health concern, whether it be at the physical or mental-emotional level or both. Sometimes we need series of weekly or monthly visits, but sometimes people feel significantly better in just 3-4 weeks and do not need to keep coming.
In my opinion, “good medicine” is the therapy most appropriate for an individual at a given point in time, whether natural or conventional. I believe that the best care utilizes the proper combination of approaches that enable people to identify and address the root cause of their illness while their symptoms are being managed and resolved.
I have also found that lasting healing is very much encouraged and supported by digging deep and clearing the mental/emotional causes of illness and histories of trauma. I have seen incredible transformations in people when they allow themselves the gift of this work. Life is amazing and wonderful when we are able to be free of limiting and toxic emotions and/or beliefs or past traumas.
Most people, I have found, seek inner happiness, peace, and a sense of inner fulfillment with a healthy balance of physical vitality rooted in a vibrant body, mind and spirit. For me, naturopathic medicine, homeopathic medicine, and energy medicine are the tri-fold answer to helping you reach and maintain this kind of wellness.
I have completed several degree programs in the field of Natural Health Sciences, including a Doctor of Naturopathy degree as well as a degree and national certification in Classical Homeopathy. I also have several years of clinical training in both naturopathy and homeopathy, and a Master Practitioner certification in Emotional Freedom Technique.
